How do you deal with a husband who is so obsessed with sex?

3 min read

Intimacy is important in a marriage. However, as the saying goes, too much of anything can be bad for you. So what should you do if your husband is totally obsessed with sex? Here are some tips:

Talk it out first before doing anything drastic

As with most problems in a marriage, the first thing that you should do would be to talk to your partner about it. Tell them that you're fine with having sex, but too much of it is becoming a problem in your marriage.

It is important to make it clear to your husband that you have no problems with having sex, but the problem is that your husband is asking for too much of it. Sometimes, it could be because your husband isn't satisfied with the sex that you're having, or it could be a much more deep-seated problem.

Before asking other people for help, it's best to try and talk it out first as a couple. If it's just a minor concern, then you and your husband should be able to sort it out between the two of you.

Don't feel guilty about saying no

Sometimes, your husband might try and make you feel guilty in an attempt to coerce you into having sex. It's totally fine to say no, since it's your body, and you should be the one to decide what you want to do.

If your husband's behavior becomes manipulative to the point that they use guilt to force you into having sex, then it might be time to talk to a counselor about your concerns.

Remember, it's not your responsibility to provide pleasure to your husband, sex should be consensual between two adults, and even if your married, it's not something that your husband can use to force you into having sex.

Know when to draw the line

It's important to know your limits. Sometimes, a person's obsession with sex can go away once you confront them about it or if you seek help.

However, there are times wherein the other person can actually become abusive, even to the point of causing you physical harm. If that's what's happening in your relationship, then you should draw the line.

Any type of abuse should never be tolerated in a relationship, whether it's physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. If you feel that your husband is abusing you, don't be afraid to seek help. There are a lot of groups out there that are willing to help you out and keep you safe.
