One of the most important skills that parents can teach their kids is being responsible for their actions. And even Scarlet Snow Belo isn’t exempt from being discipline by her mom whenever she does something wrong.
How does Dra. Vicki discipline Scarlet Snow?
In the video that Dra. Vicki Belo uploaded on Instagram, Scarlet can be seen on camera saying sorry to household helpers that she admitted to shouting at.
Dra. Vicki asks Scarlet, “Is she kind to you?” Scarlet then says yes. Next, she asks Scarlet, “Are you kind to her?” to which Scarlet shakes her head and says no.
Amazingly, Scarlet showed humility and accepted that she made a mistake when she shouted at the household help. In the video, she also says sorry to a “Kuya Edward” for shouting at him.
Dra. Vicki captioned her Instagram post with the following message:
“Teaching @scarletsnowbelo the importance of saying sorry when she does something wrong to other people. Good evening , everyone.”

Teaching your kids discipline is very important
Discipline is an important trait that all parents should teach their kids. Being disciplined means that your child learns to respect people, and take responsibility for their actions.
Here are some useful strategies to keep in mind when it comes to teaching your child discipline:
- Consistency is key. Make sure to never give your child mixed signals or conflicting information. That way, it’s easier for them to learn and understand the right behavior.
- You’re in control. Let your child know this, but don’t be too overbearing about it. Children also need a bit of independence, and they should be able to act for themselves without your intervention.
- Be fair when it comes to your discipline. If your child made a small mistake, don’t punish them too harshly. On the other hand, if they deliberately do something wrong, make sure that the punishment is appropriate.
- Encourage good behavior. Focusing only on bad behavior can send the wrong signal to your child. You also need to reward good behavior, and let your child know that you appreciate their good deeds.
- Don’t make exemptions. If you set rules for your child, then make the rules apply to your family. Discipline shouldn’t be conditional, and everyone should share the responsibility.
