Kapag nagsabay-sabay ang stress at problema ng isang nanay, hindi nila napapansin na pumupunta na sila sa phase ng ‘Distracted parenting’. Alam nating lahat na ang mga moms ay sobrang busy dahil sa kanilang work, house chores at pag-aasikaso sa kanilang mga chikiting.

Ngunit ano nga ba ang epekto kapag masyadong distracted si mommy?

Ito ang epekto sa iyong anak kapag ikaw ay isang distracted parent

Sa isang survey, tinanong ang mga batang nasa gulang na 6 to 12 years old kung distracted ba ang kanilang mga nanay kapag sinusubukan nila itong kausapin. 62% na bata ang sumagot na ‘Oo’ at sinasabing cellphone ang main distraction ng mga magulang nila. Sumunod ang kanilang mga kapatid at trabaho.

Alam nating parte na ng buhay ang paggamit ng gadgets. Lalo na sa panahon ngayon na halos lahat ng moms ay work from home. Kaya hindi naiiwasan na napagsasabay ni mommy ang work, chores at pag-aalaga sa bahay.

Tricky rin isipin na kadalasan, ang mga mommy ang nagbabawal humawak ng cellphone sa kanilang anak. Ngunit dumadating talaga ang pagkakataon na, kapag sobrang distracted na si mommy o si daddy, si chikiting na talaga ang lalapit sa’yo at kukunin ang cellphone mong hawak para makuha nila ang atensyon mo.

Isa sa magiging epekto kapag sobrang distracted na ang parents sa ibang bagay ay ang paghahanap ng atensyon lagi ng iyong anak.

Dahil nga kulang ang atensyong ibinibigay mo sa mga anak mo at naibabaling mo sa iba ang oras sana na para sa iyong anak, alam mo bang ito ay maituturing na ‘harsh parenting’?

Kung tatagal ang pagiging ‘Distracted parent’ mo, ito ay may malaking epekto sa behavior ng iyong anak. Maaaring lumayo ang kanyang loob at humanap ng ibang kalinga sa ibang tao.
