Emily Blunt shares how motherhood has affected her acting career

"I'm not so keen on doing nudity, because I'm not 22 any more."

Emily Blunt has been lighting up screens with her charm and acting prowess since she was in her early teens. But now that she’s a mom, she admits that it has greatly affected her career as an actress.

“Too racy would be one thing I wouldn’t go for now. I’m not so keen on doing nudity, because I’m not 22 any more,” she The Telegraph UK in a recent interview to promote her upcoming film, The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

“And actually it’s not so much a moral thing as, ‘I’ve done it before and do I really want to do it again?’ Does it serve the film or is it gratuitous and seeing someone’s (breasts) for the sake of it?” muses the new mom. “Because I don’t think it’s necessary most of the time.”

She also admits that playing violent or racist characters would be difficult for her now that she’s a mom to a two-year-old.

The 32-year-old actress also revealed that balancing her professional and personal life has been a “juggle” which she knows will just get more challenging.

“Although life is a juggle and I have to spend a few days away from Hazel here and there, when I’m not working I’m with her all the time,” she adds.

She predicts balancing everything will get more difficult over the next few years.

“I do think it will get harder to leave her as she gets older, but a friend once gave me a good piece of advice. Instead of saying, ‘Mommy has to go, say, ‘Mommy has to go, but I love what I do. I just love it!’ ”

She’s expecting her second child with fellow actor John Krasinski sometime in July or August 2016.
