With the beginning of the new Chinese lunar year, also known as the year of the Fire Rooster, comes a slew of various predictions in health, wealth, career and love.
Feng Shui authority Maritess Allen shared her take on what can be expected based on each person’s year of birth in an interview with Inquirer.net. Let’s take a closer look at the love predictions for the Horse and the Sheep, who she believes have a high chance of being led into extramarital affairs this year.
For those born in the Year of the Horse (1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990), Maritess foresees relationship conflicts and challenges which can result to a major crisis. Her advice for “Horses” is to spend more time with friends and family in order to avoid falling into the trap of infidelity.
As for “Horses” who are still single, AsiaOne predicts that they will often go on dates, but will not find a suitable partner yet.
However, their potential partner may already be in their lives.
“Friendships at work and at play will bloom, especially with those of the opposite sex. You may possibly find your potential partner this year after all. Marriage is even possible,” says Feng Shui consultant Adelina Pang.

Those born in the Year of the Sheep should avoid seemingly harmless flirtatious encounters
As for those born in the Year of the Sheep (1943, 1955,1967, 1979, 1991), Maritess told the Inquirer that they should avoid flirting in order to avoid being tempted to cheat, as work and personal friendships could easily evolve into something more.
Yourchineseastrology.com has a similar outlook as Maritess. More social engagements will increase the temptation for “Sheeps” to have an extramarital affair. They caution those born in the Year of the Sheep to be careful and keep their distance from work colleagues and personal friends of the opposite sex.
While there’s no harm in believing in astrology, we must also take charge of our own choices and do our best to be faithful to our spouses in order to have a heartbreak-free year ahead.
