Admit it, every once in a while, you wonder how other moms do the seemingly impossible. You check Facebook and all you see are pictures of happy moms doing this, and happy moms doing that. In the meantime, the only time you post a photo is after you’ve put make-up on and have staged everything so your picture looks just as good. Aminin!

Don’t worry though, no more hiding, no more pretending. We’ve got a handful of mommy confessions taken off of theAsianparent.com Facebook page from moms just like you. We’ve also got several tips and tricks to help you along this crazy mommy journey. You ready? Let’s go…
"I love being a mom but sometimes I’m lost [as to] how to handle my time, time to do all the chores or time to play with my son. I end up doing other house duties at night when he is sleeping. " -- Terry Geguirra

Don’t have household help but want to keep your home clean? Erin Dolan of Unclutterer.com says that she and her husband make it a point to clean one room per day. They come up with a playlist of songs that’ll last 15 to 30 minutes and as soon as the playlist is done, then they’re done with that particular chore.

Don’t limit this great idea to cleaning only, this can be used for other errands as well. Also, if your husband is busy at work, then get your kids or a friend to help.
“I love being a mom but sometimes I lose my patience when helping [my daughter] with her homework, that I just do it nalang.”-- Jang Aguro

More often than not, homework is done as soon as the child comes home from school. Problem here is, what if your child is tired? They’re not likely to be as sharp as you’d like them to be and will tend to procrastinate so much that you throw in the towel and do it yourself. It happens, no shame in that.

A simple solution for this is to take a quick 30 minute to 1 hour nap. Do yourself a favor and take a nap as well. When the two of you wake up feeling refreshed and energized, take a quick snack and then tackle the homework!
“I love being a mom but sometimes I think of how my life would be today if I didn’t have a child. Would it be better?-- Stephanie Morata Laysa

Rebecca Lammersen, yoga teacher and mother of two, shares in Huffington Post that while she finds motherhood exasperating at times, its’ important to keep in mind that this sentiment is dependent on several factors. Factors such as, "how I'm feeling that day, how the kids are behaving, if everyone's slept through the night, how busy I am with work or how busy they are with activities.”

So the next time you’re feeling this, don’t feel bad it, just keep in mind that you may be having a bad day, take a deep breath, more importantly, take a break!
“I love being a mom but sometimes I lose my patience when my daughter does not listen to me intentionally. I know she hears me but she just keeps on playing. ”-- Nicka Duenas Claudio

While some children may be naturally stubborn, some children simply ignore us because we unintentionally tell them to. What? Yes, you read right! Amanda Morgan, mom and educator behind popular blog, Not Just Cute with Amanda Morgan an example of this is when we not only fail to maintain eye contact when giving instructions, but also when we give them by shouting from the other side of the room.

“I love being a mom but sometimes it's heart breaking when your kid starts to talk back. When you've done your best to impart good values, but still they easily imitate the bad ones they pick up outside and forget the good stuff you've taught them.”-- Bernadeth Lubid

When children imitate bad behavior from the people they see around them, it can be frustrating because it feels like your effort in trying to raise them well goes out the window. However, don’t lose hope! For starters, keep your composure. Then proceed to explain what behavior is acceptable and what is not.

If your child continues to misbehave, give them a fair warning and then carry out the consequences once they’ve crossed the line. On the other hand, make it a point to praise them whenever they’re polite and when they behave.
