Jodi Sta. Maria graduates college

Jodi announced on her Instagram account today, June 23, that after dreaming about it for so long and after four years of studying, she is now graduating from college.

"Success comes to those who want it. And sometimes you have to ask yourself “how much do I want this?” I dreamt of finishing my schooling ever since I entered show business and today, after more than a decade, marks the fulfillment of that dream. After 4 long years, I am here graduating from college," she shared.

The actress also talked about how she motivated herself when she would encounter challenges in her studies. She believed that she was able to overcome those with the help of God.

"In school, whenever I faced a seemingly insurmountable task, I’d always push myself and say “it can be done.” I knew that God was with me all throughout my college life and I kept holding on to his promise that I can do all things through Him who gave me strength and supplied me with more than I needed according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. God is always faithful to his word." Jodi said.

She offered this important achievement to the Lord and thanked all her supporters for helping her reach her dream. The 39-year old actress also encouraged other people to keep dreaming despite their age.

It was in 2017 when Jodi began to pursue her college degree through Southville International School and Colleges. Despite her busy schedule and nonstop acting projects, she still managed to become a model student and a consistent dean's lister in her class.

In early 2019, before the pandemic, the veteran actress announced that she was enrolled for her last semester in university. Last June 5, Jodi revealed through her Instagram stories that she had just successfully finished her final defense for her thesis.

“Wanted to share this with all of you! I passed my final defense this afternoon,” she wrote.

“Being grilled for more than 3 hours was no joke… but I must say all the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, the hours spent in front of the computer to source out materials for my paper, were worth it. Marching soon," Jodi added.

She also took to Twitter to thank all of her supporters.
