5 Korean skincare hacks all busy moms should know

5 Korean skincare hacks all busy moms should know

The famed 10-step Korean skincare routine can be done in half the time. Here's how!

We previously shared with you the wonders of the 10-step Korean skincare routine many of your favorite K-drama and K-pop stars swear by, but as moms, who was time for that, right?

Great news is: we’ve found an easier way to get close up-worthy radiant skin in half the time!

Here’s an easier but equally effective 5-step K-beauty skincare regimen, thanks to Morgan of The Beauty Breakdown!

1. Cleanse

To achieve that K-beauty glow, you have to start with cleaning your skin properly. This is a vital first step as it is when you remove oil, sebum, dirt, and makeup gunk from your skin. If you often wear makeup, remember to remove it first using a cleansing balm or makeup remover before cleansing.

To cleanse, use a cleansing gel or foam and gently massage it onto your face. Don’t forget! One of Korean skincare’s golden rules is to create a lather on your palms before applying cleanser to your face. This is to lessen friction, which could damage your skin over time.

2. Tone

Simply cleansing is no assurance that there’s no dirt or sebum left within your pores! So it’s important to follow it up with a great toner. Not only does it cleanse deeply, it also makes it easier for your skin to absorb other products.

Using a cotton pad, apply it to the center of your face, swiping outward.

3. Apply serum

Similar to essences or ampoules, this product is one of the key steps in a K-beauty regimen. Make sure to choose a type of concentrated essence formulated for your skin type. You can choose between anti-wrinkle, anti-acne, brightening etc.

Apply your chosen essence by gently dabbing it onto your face.

4. Dab on eye cream

We often neglect our eyes when caring for our face, but it should be a priority area because it’s one of the first parts of the face to show signs of aging. Once you’ve chosen a brand that’s right for you, use your ring fingers to dab it on the skin around the eyes, gently, as it is one of the most delicate parts of the face.

5. Apply face Cream

The last step is applying a face cream, which locks everything in and protects your skin. More than that, it also moisturizes your skin, you can never have too much moisturizer! Massage it onto your face, neck, and chest.

Watson’s Pure Beauty Urban Shield Line includes Korean skincare products packed with pomegranate extracts that protect against pollution, repair dullness, and revitalize the skin. Get your K-Beauty fix at all Watsons and SM Beauty stores nationwide. To know more, follow the Watsons facebook page or visit the Watsons official website.
