In what could only be described as the most adorable meltdown ever, a young boy totally loses it when his sister gives him a pet hamster as a gift.
What made the gesture even sweeter, is that the thoughtful little girl even used her own birthday money.
In this aww-inducing clip, we see Abigail Stout, 6, giving her 9-year-old brother Daniel the surprise of his life.
The young boy, who had been wanting one for a long time, fell to his knees and broke down in tears when he realized that he was finally going to have a pet hamster.
The overwhelmed young boy thanks his little sister as he sobs and hugs her.
“Why are you crying?” asks the confused little girl. “Are you happy crying?”
The video begins with Abigail leading Daniel to the room where the surprise awaited him.
Their mom Rachel Stout shared the video on facebook and she explains in the caption that Daniel had wanted a pet hamster of his own ever since Abigail got one for her birthday.
He wanted one so badly, in fact, that he even volunteered to do extra chores for extra allowance just so he could buy one.
Abigail turned six last January and received around $55. We think it was money well spent.
“I asked her what she wanted to do with her money and she says, ‘I want to surprise Daniel and buy him his hamster. He has been working soooo hard.'”
They named the hamster “Cubby”.
