Iya Villania on being a mom: "You discover how selfless you can actually be"

Who do think who looks like more: mommy Iya or daddy Drew?

TV Hosts Drew Arellano and Iya Villania recently welcomed their first child, Antonio Primo, who was named after Drew’s late father.

After 6 hours of labor, Iya give birth at 12:06 P.M. to their baby boy, who weighed 2.9 kilos or 6 lbs and 4 oz.

“Ang hirap pala manganak,” shared the overjoyed new mom. “Kahit naka-epidural. Ang hirap, pero sobrang sarap paglabas ni baby!”

She credits Drew for being by her side throughout labor and delivery.

“Totoo yung chismis,” wrote the new mom in her first photo at home with Primo. “Walang masyadong tulog once you give birth. But then you discover how selfless you can actually be. Sleep isn’t as important as attending to him. I love this little boy so much!!! Seems like he enjoyed his first night home!”

Primo, which also means “first” in Italian, is the first child for the couple, who tied the knot in an intimate and heartwarming ceremony in 2014.

Priming up.
