MakatiMed now conducts drive-through laboratory services for people in need of blood extraction for certain medical tests.
With current safety protocols in place, many people have become hesitant about visiting hospitals, which may lead some to postpone crucial medical tests, consultations or vaccinations for other conditions. Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed), a top hospital in the Philippines, is responding to patient needs with a lineup of safe alternatives for a new and healthy normal.
Offsite COVID testing and House Call Services. Get swabbed and be tested from the safety of your home. MakatiMed now conducts offsite Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing for COVID-19 and regular blood routine procedures. To schedule an appointment with the Department of Pathology and Laboratories, call +632.8888 8999 local 7061 at least four days before preferred test date.
MakatiMed conducts this offsite testing and extraction service Mondays through Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The results are released within 48 hours for RT-PCR Test while the routine blood test results conform with the MakatiMed Laboratory Turn Around Time. Drive-thru RT-PCR and blood extraction. MakatiMed offers these laboratory services for people in need of blood extraction for certain medical tests. Patients have a choice to have it done via a drive-thru service from the safety of their own private vehicle or from the comfort of their homes.
Drive-thru services are from Monday to Saturday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM. In order to accommodate more patients, MakatiMed relocated its drive-thru service to a bigger area: Convergys Open Parking (across Makati Medical Center) and at Dela Rosa Street corner Salcedo Street (entrance at Dela Rosa Street Access Road 3).
Patients must set an appointment at least two (2) days before their preferred schedule by calling +632.8888 8999, local 7061.
Not included in the house call and drive-thru services are tests for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), drugs, oral glucose tolerance test and oral glucose challenge test, bleeding time, clotting time, blood culture, catheter specimen collections, specimen scrapping, and other microbiological culture tests.
Online consultations. Patients who want to schedule a consultation with their existing MakatiMed doctors can now do it online through TeleMD. Appointments can be set via their doctor’s secretary or through MakatiMed On-Call at +632.8888 8999. Your doctor’s clinic will send a link for the teleconsultation appointment and payment details.
Online counseling for diabetes and weight wellness. To ensure that patients with diabetes have convenient access to experts in helping them manage their illness, weight, and overall wellness, MakatiMed has also introduced an online counseling service.
