Mariel’s pregnancy was revealed by her good friend Ogie Diaz on his Twitter account at past 2 a.m. on May 12.
“Wow! Buntis pala uli si @marieltpadilla! Congrats, mare! Yan na yun!,” the comedian said.
If this is true, then this is happy news for the Mariel and her husband, action star Robin Padilla. Mariel suffered two miscarriages last year. Mariel was carrying triplets when she miscarried the second time.
Neither Robin or Mariel, however, have confirmed the news.
The couple is currently preoccupied defending themselves against claims that they violated COMELEC’s election rules. Mariel came under fire for wearing a shirt with Du30 printed on it on election day, while Robin posted a photo of a shaded ballot.
In an Instagram post, Mariel stressed that she is not aware of any violations she committed, and proceeded to enumerate COMELEC rules. In the end, however, Mariel apologized if her actions offended others. She also defended her husband, saying that the photo Robin posted was that of a sample ballot.
