She was unresponsive and the suspect did not do anything to help the baby.

A 9-month-old baby girl suffered a horrific death after she was sexually assaulted by her mother’s boyfriend.

She was covered in blood

The girl’s mother found her in their basement of their apartment, and she was covered in blood. The baby was left there by the boyfriend after he had raped her. She was unresponsive and the suspect did not do anything to help the baby.

According to reports, the deputies were at a loss when it came to describing the violent sexual assault. According to Jackson County Sheriff Tony Boggs, “I don’t know of any normal human that could fathom what would possess somebody to do that.”

He adds, “Obviously this is not something we have encountered,” he said. “I don’t think the average or below average person can comprehend or even fathom this.”

Brain dead

Members of the family have said that the child was clinically brain dead, and any chance of her waking up were very slim.

Sources say that the suspect, Benjamin Taylor, previously had a criminal record but they were nothing like what he did to the child.

Based on a statement from Taylor, he was doing laundry and took the baby to the basement, and he adds that he had no recollection of the incident as well as how she sustained the fatal injuries.

Taylor has been charged with first-degree sexual assault and will also be charged with murder charges for the incident.

Keeping your baby safe at home

Your baby is your treasure. And as a parent, you will do everything that you can just to make sure your child is safe and secure. Here are some things to keep in mind so that you can be sure that your kid is always safe.

  1. Never leave your baby to someone that you don’t trust – If you have to leave in a hurry and there’s no one available to take care of your baby, then it’s better to either bring your child with you or postpone your errand instead of entrusting your child to someone that you don’t know too well. Additionally, you need to ask yourself if you really know your partner well enough to entrust them with your baby. Make sure to know your partner’s history, and always trust your gut.
  2. Know any places of risk inside your home – Kitchens, bathrooms, and the bedroom can be dangerous places for a baby, especially if you don’t take extra precautions. Make sure to use child safety locks, and use furniture bumpers for any furniture that might have any sharp edges.
  3. Don’t leave them unsupervised – Never leave your child unsupervised, even for just a few minutes. Always keep them within your vision.
  4. Learn basic first aid tips – Basic first aid is helpful not only when it comes to babies, but it’s also a good life skill to have. There are a lot of groups out there that give free lessons on first aid tips.
  5. Keep emergency numbers handy – It’s very important to keep any emergency numbers handy. You never know when you might need to call emergency services, and you don’t want to be looking for phone numbers during a serious emergency.
