Multi-hyphenate mom
Nadine Smith, or Mommy Nadine is a woman with a lot of roles and talents. She's a singer, an event host, a voice-over talent, a blogger, an influencer and digital content creator.
But the role that's closest to her heart is being a hands-on mom to her three-year-old daughter, Andromeda Eve or Andi.
Despite being busy with her professional engagements, Mommy Nadine takes pride in being Andi's first caregiver. Her superpower? Getting better at what she calls the "motherhood juggling act".
"We don’t have a helper or a relative who is solely in charge of taking care of my daughter, so I had to rely on myself to get things done (with the help of my husband, of course). I have learned how to balance mom life, housework, and my career." she shares.
Being in the entertainment industry, Mommy Nadine is grateful that she gets to bring her daughter with her to work, and can even breastfeed while on the job like a true champ!
At home, she's even more into her role as she happily shares about feeding Andi healthy snacks, giving her a bubble bath and listening to music together.
Of course, there are days when being a mom is the hardest job there is. But Mommy Nadine prefers to take it in stride (yes, even the tantrums and the crying sessions) because our babies don't stay babies for very long.
And for our multi-hyphenate mom, no talent fee in the world can compare to the reward she gets from being a mother - the unlimited cuddles, bedtime hugs and the "I love yous" from her little girl. Watching her grow up brings her so much joy.
"I can't help but be in awe of the miracle in front of me," Mommy Nadine adds.
What a mother wants
Like any other mom, Mommy Nadine's ultimate wish for her daughter is good health and happiness. She also hopes that Andi will be brave enough to take risks in pursuing her dreams and passions.
One way that she reinforces this attitude of fearlessness in her home is by encouraging her through validation. Mommy Nadine believes that the cornerstone of becoming successful adults is knowing that they are supported.
If she can have another wish, it's for the pandemic to be over so that Andi can enjoy having a normal life.
"COVID has really taken away so much from us – opportunities, freedom, time with our loved ones – and I just really wish that we could get our normal lives back. I wish for this even more when I think about my child. She spent almost an entire year holed up at home, missing out on having the best childhood experiences because of the pandemic. I really just want her to enjoy her life as a kid and do what kids her age should be doing, like playing outdoors and making friends with other children." shares Mommy Nadine.
And while we're on the topic of wishes, this super hardworking mom added having me-time, more work opportunities and online shopping credits to her list. We can definitely relate!
