After undergoing a drastic renovation as well as modernization, the National Planetarium in Rizal Park will soon open, and they will be offering free admission to the public until April 30.
There will be more realistic and detailed shows
The National Planetarium will be open to the public on March 20, and they will be featuring shows that will be free to the public until April 30.
One of the major improvements that was done in the National Planetarium was the addition of a hybrid projector which combines the planetarium's old projector with a brand new digital projector.
According to Central Museum Visitor Operations Division Chief Ma. Belen Pabunan, "Because it was already combined with the manual, so meron siyang feature na mas detailed yung stars -- unlike yung digital lang hindi masyadong detailed yung pointed stars."
Additionally, the aging planetarium has been revamped with new seats as well as improved and upgraded facilities that aim to modernize the planetarium.

The National Planetarium will be featuring various shows from Tuesday to Sunday that will exhibit the wonder of space.
Here's the show schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday: Planetarium Program:
1st show: 9:00 am - A Planet for Goldilocks
2nd show: 10:30 am - Hayabusa Back to the Earth
3rd show: 1:00 pm - A Planet for Goldilocks
4th show: 2:30 pm - Journey to a Billion Suns
5th show: 4:00 pm - Hayabusa Back to the Earth
Sunday:
1st show: 10:00 am - Journey to a Billion Suns
2nd show: 2:00 pm - Hayabusa Back to the Earth
For families who are interested, make sure to take advantage of the free admission until April 30. It will surely be a memorable experience for the entire family, especially for younger kids who haven't gone stargazing, or are very much interested in learning about stars and space in general.
