Welcome the coming New Year with these fireworks-free ideas!

Fireworks might seem fun and exciting, but they can also be very dangerous. So for parents who want to celebrate the New Year without fireworks, here are some tips!

Can you celebrate the New Year without fireworks?

New Year without fireworks

Fireworks and firecrackers can be fun, but they can also be very dangerous!

Most definitely! While fireworks and firecrackers are traditionally used to welcome the coming New Year, they can be very dangerous not just for kids, but for adults as well.

For years, the Department of Health has warned about the dangers of using firecrackers since every year, hundreds of people throughout the country suffer from firecracker-related injuries.

Here are some good alternatives to celebrate the coming New Year with a bang, but without fireworks or firecrackers!

1. Videoke!

Pinoys love to sing, and what better way to welcome the New Year than by singing your family’s favorite songs on the videoke?

2. Use trumpets

Trumpets are sold almost everywhere during the days leading up to the New Year. They’re great for families who love to make noise but are wary about the dangers of firecrackers.

3. Go to a New Year’s Eve celebration

These days, there are a lot of New Year’s Eve celebrations and countdowns that you and your family can visit. Why not try and mix things up by going to a New Year’s party with your family?

4. Bang your pots and pans

Aside from being used to cook food, your pots and pans can also be used to make some noise to welcome the New Year! Just bang them together and make some noise!

5. Play loud music

If you have a really good sound system at home that you’re proud of, then why not put it to good use by playing loud music during the New Year? It’s a great way to listen to great music while at the same time welcoming the New Year!
