The tiny infant still had his umbilical cord attached and was covered in blood...

According to the New Straits Times Online, an abandoned baby boy was discovered in a shack close to a kids’ playground in the Kota Bayu Emas neighbourhood, in Malaysia.

The abandoned baby was discovered by a foreigner

The infant, who still had his umbilical cord attached, was found on Wednesday morning (4 November) by a foreign national, who had then informed another passer-by, said Klang Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner Azman Abdul Razak.

“The foreigner was on his way to work at a construction site when he spotted the baby crying in the shack. He was left on the cement floor of the shack. There was blood on the naked baby which we believed had just been born. No injuries were found on the baby. The baby has been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital,” said Azman.

The case is being further investigated by Mayasian police. They have urged those with any information to get in touch with the nearest police station.

Some hundreds of babies are abandoned in Mayasia every year, according to BBC reports. To try and save these babies, the government even introduced a “baby hatch” for little ones unwanted by their mothers.
