OFW murders partner for accusing him of having an affair

Speaking to authorities, he said he lost his temper after Taboada kept "nagging him" while they were watching television.

According to Sun Star, a 40-year old woman in Cebu City was killed with a kitchen knife by her partner, with whom she’s been living for three years. The victim was identified as Yvette Taboada, an employee of Cebu City Hall’s Human Resource Development Office. The cause of death was allegedly a fatal wound to the throat.

Her partner, 42-year-old Ricardo Baguio, reportedly killed her in a rage after she accused him of cheating on her. He is currently detained at the Cebu City Police station 10. Baguio was about to return to the Middle East, where he is currently employed before he committed the crime.

Speaking to authorities, he said he lost his temper after Taboada kept “nagging him” while they were watching television.

Taboada’s relatives found this hard to believe, because according to them, it was Baguio who would often act out in fits of jealousy.
