Parents use vegetable themed portraits to capture baby's first year

When parents Keren Sachs and Landis Kauffman had their son, Gideon Kauffman, they knew to capture his first year they'd need to do something big.

Initially, the couple drew a blank on how to perfectly capture each month of their sons development, but hey knew if they pondered long enough something would...turnip.

Hilariously, the family decided to track their child's growth using "Veggie Portraits", and the results are hilarious...and nutritious!

Gideon, recently celebrated his first birthday. He's now walking and trying even more delicious, nutritious veggies.

His parents told The Huffington Post that they look forward to finding "other ways to document his milestones.”

Until the day these creative parents post new hilarious photos, we'll just have to appreciate this portrait! With that said, lettuce bask in its glory!
