It was last year, when we decided to have another baby.
What to read in this article:
- My pregnancy journey
- Struggles of my pregnancy
- The miracle that happened
Sabi kasi ni mister, 4 year age gap is perfect and si Ate rin ay nasa stage na ng pagiging independent. She seldomly asks us for help. She can wash on her own after pooping, cleans her playroom, gets food in the fridge, bathe alone, etc.
At some point, we also do not want her na mag-isa lang, as we have some friends na only child and they all wished na sana, may kapatid sila. Malungkot daw kasi kapag may mga holidays, then wala ka kapatid na maga-gather around to celebrate with.
I do not have problems in conceiving. For the past 4 years, we use the Calendar Method, where in we track my ovulation period. Kaya family planning is easy at hindi kami gumastos for buying contraceptives.
My 9 months pregnancy journey was difficult compared to my first. Dito ko na-experience ang ma-bedrest at magkaroon ng mga uncommon na sakit ng buntis.
I was also working full-time sa field, where I drive and go to customers everyday. Kaya my last pregnancy talaga gave me a little trauma.
1st semester
I experienced back pain and muscle cramps. First time ko ito ma-experience, as I only had all this during my last semester sa 1st ko, and that was weeks before my due.
It was also the 1st time I was advised to have a bed rest for a week, and took medicines para pampakapit ng baby.

Ang kwento sa likod ng aking PCOS baby “Your time will come, magiging mommy ka rin.”
2nd trimester
I had mumps, my OB provided me another pampakapit medicine and increased my vitamins intake. She then advised me for 2 weeks bed rest since mumps is contagious at may side effect daw sa baby (50-50 chance of having infertility).
Final semester
At my last ultrasound, I was diagnosed with Placenta Previa Marginalis. My OB advised me of another bed rest and to take another ultrasound weeks before my due to check if my placenta would still align, as I will be scheduled to have CS.
I was advised that if I will have a bleeding, pwede ako ma-emergency CS. Having placenta previa raw is both fatal to the mommy and the baby.
The miracle
Sa totoo lang, I was scared all throughout my 2nd pregnancy. May oras pa na may dagdag load sa trabaho na hindi ako nakakatulog at napapakain ako ng madami at unhealthy, due to stress.
Kaya everything happens for a reason talaga.
Nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord that He directed me to this path. I am also thankful, dahil kahit napa-extra gastos ako dahil sa mga gamot na ininom ko, lumabas na healthy at sobrang cute ng baby ko.
What I really learned on my journey was, only look at positive things at magpasalamat sa mga unfortunate things na dumating sa buhay mo. Hindi ka mabe-bless ng mga bagay na mayroon ka ngayon, kung hindi dumating ang mga unos o challenges sa buhay mo.
You know, the Lord is very fair and just. He will at times test your faith and see if you still praise and glorify Him. Then, when you pass all these struggles, He will bless you more than what you expect.
Indeed! I am greatly favored!
