Fresh from the success of the maiden season of its Pinoy Dream Negosyo grant program for small online entrepreneurs, leading messaging and conversational commerce app Viber kicks off the Pinoy Dream Negosyo Starter Pack. This is a training opportunity for the winners and participants of the app’s grant program for small online entrepreneurs.
Through the training program, Viber hopes to provide micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs with the right knowledge and tools to maximize how they use the app and its services, especially the Channels feature. Viber Channels can help small online businesses reach a bigger audience without having to worry about moderating members as only admins and Superadmins can post in a Channel, therefore keeping the chat clutter-free. One major Channel advantage is that only admins can see the members of their Channel, allowing them to maintain the privacy of their followers.
Through the Pinoy Dream Negosyo Starter Pack program, Viber Raketeers and Besties will learn how to create and grow their Channel and master how to use Channels for marketing and promoting their business. The entrepreneurs will also be taught how to make the most out of message and Channel statistics like unique views, shares, and clicks in creating better content for their members.
As a further incentive, Pinoy Dream Negosyo winners and participants who created Viber Channels will receive inclusive perks like promotions in Viber Explore and in either RaketPH and FoodPH Channels and their own Viber sticker upon hitting certain milestones. To help more MSMEs in the Philippines, Viber is keen to entend the same training program even to non-Pinoy Dream Negosyo aspirants.
“We’ve been so inspired with all the passion, dedication, and fighting spirit we’ve witnessed during the recently concluded first-ever Pinoy Dream Negosyo. Through the Starter Pack program, we will be able to extend the opportunity given to the winners and participants and strengthen their business and marketing know-how, and further guide them in achieving their goals,” says David Tse, APAC Senior Director at Rakuten Viber. “Pinoy Dream Negosyo training program is our way of showing our MSMEs that Viber will always root for their success.”
Viber in July launched its first-ever Pinoy Dream Negosyo grant program where architect and foodpreneur Mon Cabsag of The Bistro Box and sales operations supervisor and online store owner Richmond Argosino of Ken Goods and Apparel were hailed as the grand winners following weeks of challenges and after presenting their final pitch to the program’s esteemed panel of judges.
Viber has announced that it’ll launch a second season of Pinoy Dream Negosyo soon. Just like its initial leg, the grant program will feature two categories Da Best of FoodPH for those subscribed to FoodPH and Raket Mo To for the members of RaketPH. Aspiring finalists from these Viber Channels can look forward to bigger cash grants and even more coaching sessions.
