In the spirit of Christmas, Repertory Philippines (REP) has unveiled a musical celebration like no other, debuting Going Home to Christmas – A Jose Mari Chan Musical. This is REP’s first original jukebox musical, a tribute to Jose Mari Chan’s iconic songs that have become synonymous with the Filipino holiday season. Featuring Chan’s timeless tracks, the production blends nostalgia with the warmth of family and tradition, transporting audiences into the holiday heart of the Philippines. Running from November 29 to December 15 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Going Home to Christmas brings 22 of Chan’s most beloved songs—newly arranged by musical director Ejay Yatco—to life through the stories of different characters on their journey home for the holidays. Under the direction of REP’s Jeremy Domingo, the musical offers a heartfelt look at the holiday experience of a diverse cast of characters, including young lovers, OFWs, and multi-generational families.
