Congratulations are in order for longtime partners Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes!
The couple welcomed their second daughter, Amada Lee, on April 29, 2016 at 8:03 a.m. in Santa Monica, California, reports PEOPLE.
Amada’s big sister, Esmeralda Amada is 20 months old. Their similar names were inspired by Eva’s grandmother; the name ‘Amada’ means ‘beloved’ in Spanish.
The ecstatic dad gushed about the joys of fatherhood in an interview to promote his new movie with Russell Crowe entitled, ‘Nice Guys’.
Though he’s hard at work in Hollywood, nothing compares to life as a dad.
“It sounds so clichéd, but I never knew that life could be this fun and this great,” Ryan told PEOPLE.
The elusive couple are rarely seen out and about but they have been together for five years. As with their first pregnancy, they managed to keep this current one under wraps.

A source previously told PEOPLE how “madly in love” Ryan is with his eldest daughter Esmerelda. The same source also revealed that Eva is loving her life as a mom so much.
In an interview with Hello Magazine, Ryan, pertaining to his longtime partner Eva, said: “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with.”
When asked what quality of hers swept him off his feet, he answered simply: “that she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
