The long wait is over.
Now our little girls (and boys) can have awesome female action figures to look up to.
Popular U.S. department store Target has teamed up with DC comics and Mattel to create “DC Super hero girls”.
Thanks to the Warner web series of the same name which has recently been growing in popularity. Beloved female super heroes (and villains) like Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Bumble Bee and Harley Quinn will be landing onto Target stores in March of 2016.
No news yet if they’ll be available in countries other than the United States.

In addition to these empowering new action figures, Target will also be selling girls’ apparel designed with iconic superhero legos with inspiring words like “brave” and “strong”.
“We keep our ear to the ground and listen to feedback from our guests,” Lee Henderson of Target told Today.com. “There is lots of excitement around this new launch, and we can’t wait to share the power of these iconic female super hero characters with fans. We know their stories of epic action and girl power will definitely resonate.”
Social media is abuzz with this latest development! Way to go, toy industry! Keep empowering young girls. Now, if the rest of society would follow suit, the future will look even brighter for our young brave girls!
When my kids find out a new #DCSuperHeroGirls video hits YouTube you’d think they were just told from now on its their B-Days every day.
