Ultrafresh donates over 20,000 diapers to families in need in Manila

Ultrafresh donates over 20,000 diapers to families in need in Manila in time for the holiday season. Know the whole story here.

The ultra-thin baby diaper brand Ultrafresh has distributed over 20,000 of ultra-thin diapers to parents and families in different parts of Manila-Barangay Panghulo in Obando Bulacan, Barangay Baesa in Caloocan, Barangay Cembo in Makati and even to street families.

The campaign is part of Ultrafresh’s social commitment and advocacy to help impoverished families in providing an essential for babies: a clean and comfortable diaper.

In the Philippines, one in every three children belongs to poor families*. Essentials such as diapers for toddlers can be hard to come by especially during a pandemic that has deeply affected livelihood.

“As we introduce Ultrafresh ultra-thin diapers to everyone, we also want to put the spotlight on the issue of diaper needs among the less fortunate members of our community. Our aim at Ultrafresh is not just business but also to create a positive impact on the lives of families struggling to make ends meet,” says Michelle Garcia-Arce, President of Salmo Trading and Distribution Corporation, the company behind the distribution of Ultrafresh.

She continues: “I am a mom myself and I know that every parent — regardless of background — only wants the best for their children. I am happy and privileged that Ultrafresh can help provide comfort to underprivileged families in need through our humble diaper drive. We plan to hold this diaper drive on a quarterly basis and continue to provide a meaningful impact to society through the business we operate.”
