The woman even said that she was their aunt

According to the children’s grandfather, Wilfredo Vibiesca, who was with them inside the jeep during the incident, the suspect apparently grabbed the 2 kids and attempted to kidnap them when they were getting off the jeepney.

He added that the suspect told him that she had 2 accomplices with her. Thankfully, the kidnap attempt was foiled since the children were residents of the area, and their relatives cornered the suspect when they found out what happened.

The woman even said that she was their aunt, however one of the children’s uncles was there when the incident happened. She was eventually taken to the local precinct.

The kids were aged 2, and 8 years old respectively.

She said she wasn’t trying to kidnap the children

Even when she was arrested, the woman remains adamant that she is the kids’ aunt. She also maintains that she had no plans of kidnapping the children.

The mother of the kids added that she thinks the suspect might be a veteran, and that she might be a part of a syndicate that reportedly abducts children in order to take their organs.

A case will be filed against the woman, and authorities will be conducting further investigation in order to identify if the woman is indeed connected with any syndicate groups in the country.

Keep your kids safe at all times

These days, there are a lot of news reports and stories that are being shared online that say there are syndicate groups going around and abducting children, either for child trafficking, or to take their internal organs.

While we can’t really verify the truth to all of these stories, it’s still very important for parents to keep their children safe at all times. Here are some helpful tips:

  1. Always know where your children are. Make it a point to ask your kids where they’re going, and what time they’re going back. That way, you at least have an idea of where your children are. For younger kids, it’s still best to be with them if they’re going out.
  2. For older kids, you can give them a cellphone so they can contact you in case of an emergency.
  3. Teach your kids to run away from people they’re not familiar with. If they think that a stranger is being too close or too friendly, it’s okay for them to keep themselves safe, and run away from that person.
  4. Make sure they know how to contact you, or any adult in case they need help. Your kids should memorize your phone number, as well as any other emergency numbers so that in case they run into trouble, they can look for a phone to call for help.
  5. They should make a scene if someone’s trying to kidnap them. Teach your kids to make a commotion if someone’s attempting to kidnap them. More often than not, abductors will just give up if the person they’re trying to kidnap is trying to create trouble.

Hopefully with these tips, your kids can be much safer when they’re in school, at home, or if they’re going out with their friends.
