After being apart for nearly six months, a chance meeting altered their path.

Zsa Zsa Padilla and Conrad Onglao called it quits a month before their wedding. Zsa Zsa's daughter, Karylle, broke the news to the media.

After the split, Conrad released a statement saying that Zsa Zsa was "the best thing that ever happened to him" but did not delve into details as to what caused Zsa Zsa to call off their wedding. "I love and respect her a lot and whatever issues we have are between us and hopefully we can work it out and who knows maybe get back again," he said in his statement, as reported by ABS-CBN news.

After bumping into one another at a mall in Makati, Conrad used the time to clear the air, knowing that they never really talked after the break up. Their conversation lasted for hours, according to the Inquirer, and it ended in reconciliation.

“It’s been a long journey but in the end it was worth the wait..."

The mutual decision to give their relationship another shot also came with the desire to keep things more private this time around.
