Actress Aiko Melendez’ Iranian boyfriend Shahin Alimirzapour cleared up rumors that they have broken up.
“Cool off? No it’s not. We both have to fix some stuff on her side and on my side too,” he revealed in an interview with PEP.

The couple confirmed their relationship through social media in April of 2016 by posting snaps of their Davao vacation.
“I just want her to have time ‘coz I guess it’s good for both of us now. We love each other.”

Just a few days ago, Aiko posted a photo with a friend on Instagram. In the caption, she used #singlesnightOUT.
Because of this, many of her followers started to worry, posting comments asking about the status of her relationship with Shahin.
“We are just taking a break, nothing serious,” reassured Shahin through messages sent to PEP. “I just want her to have time ‘coz I guess it’s good for both of us now. We love each other.”
Their decision to take a break was mutual; they both had to focus on their careers. Aiko has been active on TV shows while Shahin is focusing on his business.
“We are texting each other. On my side is just my business that I’m going to open in the Philippines and I have to be more focused, and also she wants to be more focused on her career,” reassured Shahin. “That’s why, for now, we are taking a break for a while to improve more.”
