Alma Moreno is an actress-turned-politician who also happens to be a protective mom.
Her advice to 24-year-old daughter Winwyn, who’s also entered showbiz, is not to rush things with her current boyfriend Mark Herras.
“Enjoy muna ang buhay at pagkadalaga. Huwag silang magmadali,” Alma told GMA News at a recent press conference.
She’s quick to clarify that this isn’t because she doesn’t approve of Mark. In fact, Alma describes him as a kind person, who cares for his family. She also commended the 29-year-old actor for treating her daughter well.

Mark, however, admitted in a previous PEP interview that he’s well aware of his “bad boy” image, and that a lot of people were saying they weren’t a good match.
“Basta ang gusto ko…hindi ako mapapahiya sa parents ni Wyn, at sa mga tao. I want to prove them wrong,” said Mark in the said interview. “Kung meron man akong bad image before na sabi nila may pagka-playboy, hindi na ito ngayon.”
Though Mark and Winwyn have revealed their plans of settling down one day, it won’t be for a couple of years because they want to save up and prepare to settle down.

“My best critic and my strongest supporter. Mom, Thank you for everything!” wrote Winwyn in a Mother’s day tribute to Alma on Instagram. “For all the sacrifices you made for us and sa lahat lahat ng ginawa mo para lang maging okay kaming lahat kahit minsan matitigas ulo namin haha you are EVERYTHING TO US. Love you mama.”

“You never fail to amaze me!” wrote the proud daughter alongside a sweet photo of her with mom, Ama. “Ibang klase ang dedication mo sa work mo. Ang galing mo, Ma!”

After not winning the Senatorial elections, Alma has found her way back into her first love: acting. “Ang mga anak ko (Mark Anthony Fernandez, Vandolph Quizon, Winwyn Marquez) aktibo sa showbiz. Siguro ay walang masama kung bumalik ako since uso naman ang mga kaedad ko na nagbabalik sa TV, ‘di ba? Uso na kami ulit!” she said in an interview with Philstar.
