Alwyn Uytingco and Jennica Garcia were two of the most adorable teen stars of the early to mid-2000s who have grown up to be doting parents and a loving couple.
Though they haven’t been that active in showbiz these days, they can still be seen by their fans on TV once in a while. Their most recent appearance was on GMA-7’s Sarap Diva, a lifestyle show hosted by celebrity mom Regine Velasquez.
In the interview, Alwyn paid tribute to Jennica, who’s as devoted a wife as she is a mom and homemaker. “Grabe siya magmahal sa akin, grabe mag-alaga,” he gushed. “Yung pagkain ko rin, maingat siya. Gusto niya healthy yung food namin sa bahay at the same time yung care niya para sa pets namin, nandiyan pa rin.”

“I just want to honor her for being such a great mom and a loving wife,” continued Alwyn. “Talagang makikita mo naman na ibang klase yung ituturo niya sa iyo na about how to take care of a child the very natural way. Kaya nakakatuwa, kasi ang dami mong puwedeng matutunan sa kanya.”

Jennica has been active in the mommy community, establishing a Facebook group called MoriMom Sisterhood, which, to date, has 7,600 members.
The main goal of the group was to create a community for first-time moms to be able to share their breastfeeeding struggles.
“There is a way, you just need the right people beside you, someone who’s open-minded, who will let you know of all your options,” said Jennica of the growing online community.

“Kasi minsan, dahil hindi mo pa alam ang option na ito, because you see it as an evil thing, as an evil creation, ang ending tuloy nag-formula ka na lang which is sayang din naman,” she said in the interview.
“I’m for full-term breastfeeding, meaning okay lang sa akin kung between two to eight years old si Mori.”

But she clarified that she has absolutely nothing against formula-feeding moms. “Kung wala talaga and if it’s causing strain in the family, then, alam mo yun, so huwag na,” said the breastfeeding advocate. “Although I want to make it clear lang din na I am not just for extended breastfeeding. I’m for full-term breastfeeding, meaning okay lang sa akin kung between two to eight years old si Mori.”

“Thank you for your love, mahal, for your overflowing love for our family, and also for being compassionate sa ibang mga nanay,” said Alwyn. “Ipagpatuloy mo yung advocacy mo sa pagtulong sa ibang mga nanay, kailangan nila yun. And I’m really proud of you. I love you.”
