After getting a taste of what it’s like to work on one of their mom’s movies for a day, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 9, and Knox, 7, have collectively arrived at the conclusion that what their mom does for a living is a ‘piece of cake’.
During an interview with Good Morning Britain, the actor/director revealed that four of her kids worked on her latest film Kung Fu Panda 3 with her.
Providing the voices of minor characters in the animated film, the Jolie-Pitt kids got a preview of what it’s like to be a movie star. They’ve amusingly joked that her job is “so easy”.
“I think it backfired a little because I did say, ‘okay you’re going to come to mommy’s work,'” Angelina tells Hello! magazine. “They see me on set every day doing things and directing but this was a moment of seeing me act—you’re going to do some lines, you’re going to act. They all went in, they took it very seriously and then in the car, they were like, ‘that’s what you do? It’s so easy.'”
Her kids, save for one, were all in attendance at the Kung Fu Panda 3 premiere in Los Angeles
Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 9, and Knox, 7, were shy at first but doting mom Angelina reveals that they ended up “having a lot of fun with it.”
Though they’re used to having celebrity parents, Angelina shared that she and Brad still had to prepare themselves for these unavoidable paparazzi and fan encounters: “We only explain it so they are not afraid when they see people coming at you with a camera because it can feel aggressive,” she said. “We always say it’s just because people are interested in films, and because of films, people take pictures.”
But this isn’t the first time her kids have dabbled in show business: her 7-year-old Vivienne appeared in Maleficent as baby Aurora. Zahara and Pax also had minor roles in the film.
Currently, 14-year-old Maddox is helping out with pre-production on his mom’s next project, ‘First They Killed my Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers‘.
