Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are in a 'good place' less than a year after divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are in a 'good place' less than a year after divorce

The two were spotted having brunch with their two daughters recently. Reports say their relationship remains amicable

Nearly nine months since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck called it quits after a decade of marriage, the two seem to be entering a genuine phase of friendship.

As the world tries desperately to recover from the end of Bennifer, we can console ourselves with the knowledge that the pair were recently spotted grabbing a nice Sunday brunch with daughters Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7.

They picked up food from Amandine Patisserie Café in Los Angeles

“Ben and Jen spent Sunday with their kids. They had brunch together, Jen then ran errands alone and also attended a charity event,” reports People.

Photos of the pair were snapped; they were smiling as they chatted and made their way to the parking lot.

“Ben and Jen seemed totally fine. They actually acted like they enjoyed hanging out,” adds People. “They were smiling and very friendly. Things definitely seem much better. They also hung out at home over the weekend. The vibe is much happier.”

Just a week before the low-key brunch, they were seen having a “nice moment” at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. They mingled with other guests and friends from the industry and reportedly greeted each other with a friendly hug and kiss.

Though the divorce has yet to be finalized, the two are easing into raising their kids while still living together quite well.

They have been living with their kids: Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4 on the same property as the divorce is finalized.

“They will continue to live in the house together and have no plans to change that arrangement,” reports E! news.

“They are in a really good place right now,” adds E!. “A lot of the dust has settled and they have become accustomed to their new life, which is separate but together in a lot of ways. They continue to make the family their first priority and they have always been on the same page about that.”

A month after they announced their separation, news surfaced about Ben’s alleged affair with their nanny, who now no longer works for the family.

“We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,” revealed Jennifer. “She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce.”

“Now that the Vanity Fair article is out, neither of them feel the need to talk about the past or the divorce,” adds the E! report. “They feel like everything has been answered and they just want to move forward. There is a lot of love between them. They don’t know exactly what it’s going to look like, but for now what they are doing is working for the family.”

They have been taking turns taking care of their kids while the other one is working. “Whoever isn’t working is spending the majority of time with them,” adds the report. “When they have time off, they are doing things as a family together. Ben is about to embark on a major press tour and will be traveling while Jen holds down the fort.”

“They have a good system in place,” assured E! news. “Everyone is happy right now.”
