It doesn’t matter if you’re newlyweds or if you’ve been together for decades, all couples could benefit from expert-approved tips on how to keep the fire burning in the bedroom.
Over time, sex can feel more like routine, busy schedules can cause a decreased libido and can snuff out that spark between you and your partner. Sex shouldn’t be a chore, especially for moms and dads who have to deal with working, caring for the kids and keeping the home tidy.
For years, scientific studies have established that the benefits of sex are not just momentary, it also helps reduce stress, lessen the risk of heart disease, and it can even boost your immunity. Most importantly, a great sex life is one of the key factors of a happy and healthy relationship. This, alone, is enough reason to make sure you and your spouse are living your best sex life possible. Here are some science-backed tips to get you started!
1. Smell like sweat, pumpkin, or lavender
Skipping the cologne and letting their natural scent take over will work well for men who want to turn their wives on. A 2007 study found that a woman’s hormonal levels change when they smell male sweat, specifically androstadienone, which is one of its components. A man’s sweat leads to sexual arousal as well as physiological arousal, improved mood, and brain activity.
To arouse your hubby, you can try opting for a lavender or pumpkin-like scent. The latter may sound strange, but according to Medical Daily, it increases penile blood flow and sex drive. It also has a relaxing effect and have also been found to arouse women. Other similar olfactory aphrodisiacs for women are licorice and cucumber.

5. Wear socks to orgasm!
If you’re one of those people whose pet peeves is keeping socks on while making love, you might want to rethink that!
