Ayon sa head ng Project ARK (Antibody Rapid Test Kit), ang best time na magpa-swab test for COVID ay 8 days pagkatapos, sa tingin niya na siya ay na-expose sa virus.

Samantala, ang RT-PCR test kits naman ay gumagamit ng swabs mula sa mga pasyente na kinukuha sa kanila mula ilong o lalamunan. Tumatagal ng 24 hours bago makuha ang resulta nito. Ito ang pinaka-mainam na test sa ngayon dito sa bansa dahil mayroon itong accuracy na 97%. Nagkakahalaga naman ito ng 3 thousand hanggang 8 thousand pesos.

Airborne ba ang COVID-19?
Una nang inilabas ng WHO ang pahayag na hindi airborne ang coronavirus at naihahawa lamang ito from person to person mula sa mga droplets. Kaya naman isa ang social distancing sa mga safety precautions na ginagamit para ma-contain ito. Dahil kung wala namang contact sa infected at hindi ka nito na-ubuhan o natalsikan ng laway o droplet ay hindi mahahawa.
Pero sa isang scientific journal mula sa mga scientists at researchers, nakita ang ilang ebidensya na maaring airbone ang COVID. Ito ay dahil sa mga small particles na nagiging dahilan para mahawa ang isang tao.
Ayon sa kanila,
“Whether carried by large droplets that zoom through the air after a sneeze, or by much smaller exhaled droplets that may glide the length of a room, the coronavirus is borne through air and can infect people when inhaled.”
Ang ibig sabihin nito ay maaring sa isang enclosed area na walang maayos na ventilation. Sa oras na mag-alis ka ng mask, maari kang mahawa sa virus. Kahit pa walang close contact sa may sakit. Ito ay dahil sa mga small particles na naiiwan sa hangin.
Gayunpaman, narito ang sagot ng WHO Technical Lead on Infection Control, Dr. Benedetta Allegranzi:
“Especially in the last couple of months, we have been stating several times that we consider airborne transmission as possible but certainly not supported by solid or even clear evidence. There is a strong debate on this.”
Giit naman ng mga eksperto, maaring hindi i-acknowledge ng WHO itong sentimento na ito, pero mag-ingat na lamang ang publiko dahil sa posibilidad na ito. At manatiling informed sa mga updates o developments na katulad nito.
