A 5-year-old girl was found dead and stuffed inside a sack in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. It is also believed that the victim was also raped.
The alleged suspect is a 13-year-old boy
The victim was identified as a 5-year-old named ‘Mika’. According to reports, the child was found stuffed inside the sack, with a piece of cable and a bag strap wrapped around her neck.
Further investigation showed that she might have been raped, due to bruising on her genitals, and a foreign object was also found inside the child’s anus.
Based on CCTV footage, the police have reason to believe that a 13-year-old boy, who was the older brother of ‘Mika’s playmate is the suspect.
She was last seen on CCTV with the 13-year-old
Investigators who checked the CCTV footage saw that ‘Mika’ was last seen with the 13-year-old boy.
At around 2:46 PM, the teenager was seen leaving their house, and was looking around their subdivision. He then went back into his house, and after a few moments, the 5-year-old girl can be seen following the suspect.
The suspect then went inside a vacant house that belonged to one of his relatives, and the 5-year-old followed him soon after. Half and hour later, the suspect went out of the house, shirtless, and he had a sack with him. The child was no longer with him.
He was also seen on the CCTV footage talking to the victim’s mother.
Once her mother realized that she was missing, she immediately sought help from her neighbors, and after hours of searching, ‘Mika’s body was on a vacant lot inside the subdivision.
No history of drug use or violent behavior
San Jose del Monte police chief Supt. Fitz Macariola adds that the suspect had no history of drugs or violent behavior.
“Di siya nag-aadmit doon sa crime. Pag tinatanong siya tungkol doon ay umiiyak lang siya. Masasabi nating good student, bahay-school lang ‘yung activity. Wala siyang tendency. Di siya na-observe ng kapitbahay na ganun.”
According to reports,’Mika’ was an only child, and was also an honor student. Her mother and her entire family is now seeking justice for what happened to their beloved child, with her mother saying that ‘Mika’ didn’t deserve to die that way.
