The full episode of Camille's pregnancy announcement on her show Mars will air on February 7 on GMA News TV

Nearly a month after she wed VJ Yambao in Batangas, actress-host Camille Prats shared the happy news that she’s pregnant during a taping of her GMA News TV show Mars, PEP reports.

Camille has a son named 9-year-old son Nathan, whose father was Anthony Linsangan, Camille’s first husband who sadly succumbed to cancer in September 2011. VJ also has a son from a previous relationship.

“Yes we are a blended family. There is nothing Vj and I ever hoped for but for our 2 boys to get along,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “Ever since they met they instantly clicked, always looking for one another, playing and taking care of each other. They found a brother in each other. God is truly amazing.”

Their baby will be a new addition to their blended family

She’s learned a lot about motherhood over the past 9 years, 3 of which she spent as a single mom.

“You really learn from experience ‘cause you never really get to learn until you become one,” she says of the role of being a mother. “As days go by, malalaman mo unti-unti kung ano ‘yung mga dapat na gawin mo para sa anak mo,” Camille said in 2014 interview with GMA News.

As for her parenting style, Camille describes it as mix between parenting and friendship. “I think it has to be a balance of both. You have to be strict, implement rules but at the same time you have to play with your child. Kasi hindi naman pwedeng you just keep on disciplining pero hindi naman siya nagiging open sa’yo so it has to be a balance of both,” she told GMA news.
