Cesar Montano hasn’t seen his children with Sunshine Cruz for a year, and it’s all because of Sunshine, the actor claimed.
It’s a war of words once more for estranged spouses Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz. The exchange unfolded on social media beginning April 27 when Cesar, in an interview with PEP.ph and other entertainment press during the opening of his solo painting exhibit in Kamuning Bakery, claimed that Sunshine refuses to let him see his kids.
The former couple are parents to Angeline Isabelle, Samantha Angeline, and Angel Francheska.
Below are the details from PEP.ph’s interview as written by Rose Garcia.
“Hindi pa rin. Pero inaayos naman ang lahat and ako, I’m looking at the brighter side of everything. Parang happiness lang ‘yan. Hindi nagtatagal. Ganon din ang trouble, hindi rin nagtatagal,” Cesar responded when asked if he still sees his daughters.
The actor refused to divulge the reason why he hasn’t seen his kids, stating that he did not want to hurt his former wife.
Cesar admitted that he keeps in touch with the kids through text, but also said, ““Of course, nandun yung mga texts, pero makikita mong nakakalungkot, napipigilan sila ng kanilang ina. Kasi sa totoo lang, that shouldn’t be the case.”

“Sa America nga, kapag interesado ang ama, naku binibigay na sila sa ama. Why? Kasi, may survey na karamihan ng crimes na nangyayari ay ginagawa ng mga taong walang ama,” the actor also said.
On April 28, Sunshine took to Instagram, posting “There is no such thing as a perfect parent so just be a real one.”
Sunshine Cruz fans were quick to agree, chiding Cesar for “emoting” to the press.
“[P]abibo sya lol!,” Sunshine commented.
“Sa ibang mga anak niya na muna siya mag-focus. Okay naman ang kids po,” Sunshine also said in an interview with PEP.ph. as she insisted that it’s the kids who don’t want to see Cesar.
“Ayaw nila. Irespeto niya na muna. Eventually, magiging okay ang lahat,” she said.
“Naguguluhan na rin kami ng kids kung bakit bigla siyang nag-iingay ngayon… Ayaw nila [kids] masira ang summer vacation nila, kaya hindi sila naka-focus sa ganyan,” Sunshine also said.
“Siguro huwag na lang niya banggitin ang mga bata sa interviews, kasi lalo lang lumalayo ang kids sa ginagawa niya,” appealed Sunshine.
Sunshine said she is not sore over Cesar’s comments, and has a lot of other important things to focus on.
Meanwhile, Cesar also took to Facebook to post a picture of him holding receipts for the full payment of his daughters’ tuition fees for 2016 following claims that he has neglected providing for his children.
“It has been my passion giving my kids good education from day one,” Cesar said.
We hope that all will soon be well for Cesar, Sunshine, and the kids.
