11 Celebrity Dads on Changing Diapers

When it comes to diaper changing, we’re pleased to know that a lot of dads—celebrity or otherwise—are taking on the task. Although not all celebrity dads are stepping up to the challenge (we’re looking at you, Kanye), more dads are speaking up about how rewarding it is.

Here are some of our favorite high-profile dads and their thoughts on nappy duty.

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum

Before the birth of his daughter Everly last year, Tatum told People that he was worried about changing diapers. But soon after his daughter celebrated her first birthday, he reported that he’s now an expert, "I’m solid at changing a diaper now. If a guy isn't good at changing a diaper, I don't know what he's there for, really, 'cause they're not there for the first seven months for any other reason than to do that because the mom is the end-all, be-all of everything."

"My daughter does not like sitting still,” he added. "I can do the whole thing while she’s crawling, standing up.”

Chris Martin

"Men should always change diapers. It’s a very rewarding experience. It’s mentally cleansing. It’s like washing dishes, but imagine if the dishes were your kids, so you really love the dishes,” the Coldplay frontman told Blender Magazine in 2008.

The gentle giant posted a photo on Instagram of himself on cleanup duty, captioning it: "Regardless of where we're at.. when #2 happens with my baby girl.. I'm the #1 man for the job.” So sweet!

Taye Diggs

Back when his son Walker Nathaniel was just a baby, Taye Diggs was a diaper-changing machine. In 2010, he told PEOPLE: "It is love, let me tell you, his diapers are no joke. But even then I'm such a proud father I'm like, 'Good for you! Good for you little man!’"

Nick Carter

The baby-faced Backstreet Boy became a first-time dad in April 2016, when his son Odin Reign was born. He uploaded a photo of himself feeding his baby on his Instagram, with the caption: "I don't mind changing diapers and feeding him at all. #love”

Emily Blunt is pretty pleased of her hubby’s nappy changing skills. "He's the diaper king," she told The Telegraph in 2014. "We're both hands-on all the time.”

Josh Duhamel

"I'm diaper duty and she's everything else," Fergie’s main man told Access Hollywood in 2014. "She's a great mom—that’s for sure!”

Prince William

Just because you’re royalty doesn’t mean you can’t do diaper duty. "I did the first nappy, a badge of honor,” said the future King of England in the first official interview after Prince George was born. "I had every midwife staring at me, going, 'You do it, you do it.'"

Dax Shepard

Shepard’s proud of his diaper changing skills, as he should be. Four months after he and Kristen Bell’s first daughter Lincoln was born, Shepard told reporters at NBC’s Press Tour: "I was older when my little sister was born, so I had done this before. I had changed a couple thousand diapers already a couple million times, so I wasn't too afraid of [fatherhood], and it's been nothing but wonderful.”

The former teen heartthrob and husband of Sarah Michelle Gellar used to time his diaper changing sessions. "I’m good at it, I’m fast,” he said on Lopez Tonight in 2010. "I can time myself, 46 seconds.”

David Beckham

In a 2012 interview with OK Magazine, the former football star said, ”I’ve got four kids now. I love changing diapers, it's one of my passions!” We wish all dads shared his enthusiasm!
