1. Neri Naig-Miranda: Know Your Worth

The wais na misis and mommy has been married to Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda for more than three years. Throughout this time, she’s learned a lot about making a relationship work. Aside from “killing your partner with kindness” to keep them from cheating, she believes women should also know their worth. 

“Kung lahat na ay ginawa mo, minahal mo, inalagaan mo, nirespeto mo pero niloloko ka pa rin, at ang masama pa nito ay kung sinasaktan ka na niya physically, ‘di na tama yun,” she writes in a past blog post. 

“Basta kapag magmahal ka, wag mong isusumbat sa kanya Lahat ng ginagawa mo para sa kaniya kase dapat siya mismo ang makakakita noon,” she continues. “Kapag malabong makita niya ang worth mo bilang isang babae at bilang isang tao, it’s time to move on.”

2. Gladys Reyes: Value Prayer, Patience, and Partnership

“Dapat may 3 Ps. It works ‘yung prayer, kasi pag pareho ang faith, everything follows, patience and partnership.”

Gladys Reyes has amassed a wealth of marriage wisdom in the 14 years she’s been married to Christopher Roxas, with whom she has four kids. Their youngest, Gavin Cale, was born in May 2017. 

In a past interview, the actress and hands-on mom told ABS-CBN that aside from cultivating prayer, patience and partnership, she and her husband make sure to spend quality time together. They also make sure they have a fulfilling and satisfying sex life.

Actress Judy Ann Santos has been married to TV host Ryan Agoncillo for nine years now. The couple have three kids together. How do they keep their relationship strong? By maintaining good communication, a sense of humor, keeping the romance alive through staying attractive and dating. 

When they do have disagreements, they make sure to face it head on, and not sweep conflicts under the rug.

In the 10 years that she’s been married to actor Robin Padilla, Mariel has learned the value of not being too confident when it comes to making her husband stay faithful.

“Sa couples, importante na maingat kayo sa mga sinasabi niyo kasi kung sanay kayong laging masama ang sinasabi sa isa’t isa, cause din ‘yan ng pagkawala ng pagmamahal mo sa asawa mo,” explains Chesca in a past interview. ” Kasi nasanay ka na disrespectful ka. Para makaiwas ako na may masabi, hindi kami nag-uusap agad.”

“I realized traditional vows have been there forever for a reason. Because when it boiled down to a matter of life and death, I didn’t think about how I learned to cook eggs for my husband, how I am a firm believer of his leadership, or how he has pursued me everyday of my life,” she told PEP. “No, the only thing I thought about was having and holding Joseph for as long as I am actually allowed to live.”

“Wala naman pong perfect na samahan talaga,” she explains to GMA network. “Blessed lang din po sa isa’t-isa kaya grateful at thankful po ako kay God na siya ang naging asawa ko at tatay ng mga anak ko.” 

“We do fight, but not an ugly fight, not something that we don’t sort out before the day is over,” she told Philstar in another interview.
