TAPfluencer spotlight: Mommy Cham Magsaysay

Cham Estrera-Magsaysay is a super mom that works as a TV producer and artist manager. She is also a content creator and a blogger.
Being a mommy content creator IRL
While she sometimes posts about her work, most of Mommy Cham’s content revolves around her home and family life. She shares about their travels, home makeovers, home organization, and activities for kids.
She learned a lot about creating content from her job in entertainment, but she revealed in one of her posts that one of the challenges of being an independent content creator is being a one-woman team.
“The big difference is that when producing TV shows you have the whole team to do it with you unlike when doing your own content. It’s just me,” she shares. But Mommy Cham adds that her husband, Mike, who works in the same media company, helps her with her content sometimes.
Cham’s realization about motherhood
On her blog and social media accounts, Mommy Cham exudes an air of positivity and youthfulness. She possesses the can-do, “you only live once” attitude that is present in most millennials today.
In her line of work, it is important to be always on the go, which is something Mommy Cham enjoys.
In 2008, Cham started her travel blog with the hopes of traveling the world with her husband, Mike. But she stopped when she became a mom to focus on other priorities.
This is one of the first lessons motherhood taught her – a better understanding of the realities and sacrifices that come with being a mom. Now, she wants to remind young people to enjoy their freedom.
“Enjoy your youth! Embrace your singlehood! Splurge for yourself! So when you become a parent you will have no regrets.” she says.

But that is not to say that everything goes downhill when you’re a mom. In fact, Mommy Cham is a perfect example that motherhood opens you up to bigger things.
It’s evident in her social media posts that she’s living her best life with her husband, Mike, and their daughter Keia. They do fun activities together, wear silly costumes and pretty much just enjoy each other’s company every day.
If you follow her on Instagram, you’ll notice that she enjoys twinning with Keia (they have the cutest outfits!). She also loves doing arts and crafts (her mom-hack: “Always use washable markers!”) and playing with her mini-me. It’s obvious that Cham is such a doting mom to her little girl.
For her, the best part of being a mom is the love that she and her daughter have for each other.
“To be able to give her all the love in the world and being able to get that back is the best thing about being a mommy,” she shares.
Like all parents, Mommy Cham hopes that Keia will learn from her the value of being able to enjoy life to its fullest.
“I hope that Keia will remember to follow her passion and love the life she will build for herself,” she adds.
Being in a community like TAP
Mommy Cham believes in the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” That’s why she is very grateful to be part of the TAP online community as one of its mommy influencers or TAP VIP mom.
Cham says that the best part about being included in the TAP VIP community is that she has the chance to learn from other mommies she meets, and she strives to reciprocate this to her followers and other moms.
Finally, what’s a piece of valuable advice that she wants to share with her fellow moms? “The most important work you’ll ever do is within the walls of your own home.”
