Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda expressed his apologies to a fan he accidentally elbowed, saying it was merely to protect his pregnant wife Neri Naig.
“Sorry sa siniko ko kanina. Nabangga mo kasi asawa ko,” Miranda wrote in a tweet posted on November 8. “Hindi po ako masungit o mayabang, pero mas inuuna ko talaga asawa ko higit sa lahat.”
“Sa mga nandito sa mall, sorry kung di ako makahinto para magpa-picture,” he wrote in another tweet. “Kelangan ko alalayan maglakad ang asawa ko. I hope you understand.”
Neri sadly lost their first baby in August 2015. And she opened up about her high-risk pregnancy back in June 2016 and how she’s decided to lie low from social media.
“Maselan ako magbuntis. Kaya maraming iniiwasan. Bawal stress. Happy thoughts lang lagi. Hindi rin ako nanonood masyado ng TV maliban na lang kung ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘House Hunters International,’ or ‘Flea Market Flip.’ Kapag nakakabangon naman ako at di nahihirapan, I paint. Or nagpa-puzzle ako. Or kumakanta,” wrote the 30-year-old actress and mom-to-be on Instagram.
“I am very thankful kase super ako alagaan ng asawa ko kahit gaano pa sya kapagod sa trabaho at byahe. Kahit nahihirapan ako, andyan siya lagi at napapagaan nya kahit papaano ang pakiramdam ko. Kaya saludo ako sa lahat ng mga mister na andyan para sa mga misis nila lalo na’t nahihirapan magbuntis,” wrote Neri in the same post.
Chito has now stopped working in order to care for Neri and wait for the birth of their first child, a little boy they will be naming Alfonso.
