Neri Naig’s entertaining, candid, and refreshing blog is just one of the many reasons that have earned her a following. And her husband Chito is one of her fans.
“She can do what she wants. I’m a fan… kasi hindi ko naman alam na magaling siyang magsulat. Siya rin naman, hindi niya alam, e. And she’s not even a writer, so ang ginagawa niya, isinusulat na lang niya and, I think, it works for her. Natutuwa akong basahin,” gushed the proud hubby. “Minsan nga, sinasabi niya…Kasi kapag gabi na at matutulog na kami, makikita niya na tinitingnan ko ang blog niya. Sasabihin niya, ‘Stalker!’ Nakakatuwa lang.”

In the blog entry, entitled Ang Malandi Kong Boyfriend, Neri recounted the early part of their relationship and how she handled the girls who tried to steal Chito from her.
“Madalas sinisiraan pa nga ako para lang magalit si Chito sa akin. Hindi ko naman pinapansin. Minsan may mga tatawag na lang kay Chito ng mga alanganing oras na alam mo namang nananadya. Hindi ko pa rin pinatulan,” she wrote in her blog.
Instead of getting upset, she dealt with it by loving Chito more fiercely. “Pinagsilbihan ko si Chito. Minahal ko pa siya lalo.,” she revealed. “Never ko siyang binigyan ng kahit anong hassle sa buhay.”
“Okey lang,” Chito told entertainment website PEP at the launch of his band Parokya ni Edgar’s new album when asked about the specific blog entry. “Natawa ako noong binabasa ko, while reading her blog. Sabi ko, sira-ulo ‘to, pati ‘to kinuwento. Pero nakakatawa lang.”
“Gusto ko na Alfonso. Alfonso Jr. ako, e. So, gusto ko na III naman. I think, Alfonso. I don’t know kung may second name siya,” he revealed.

The couple now live in Tagaytay, where Chito wants their baby to be born.
“Gusto ko na sa Tagaytay siya kasi nandun kasi yung O.B. na friend ko,” shared Chito, adding that Neri has a trusted O.B. in St. Luke’s so it’s also an option. “I have a house in Quezon City rin naman, baka dun kami.”
So far, Chito shares Neri’s pregnancy journey has been “very difficult”. Since Neri had a miscarriage during her first pregnancy, her current one has been delicate and they’ve been very careful. They’re thankful that there haven’t been complications. “We just pray na ma-handle niya ang labor,” he added.
“Sanay ako na siya ang nag-aalaga sa akin…gusto ko na ako naman ang mag-aalaga sa kanya.”
Aside from being careful, this pregnancy has taught the Rocker to be more patient.
“Sanay ako na siya ang nag-aalaga sa akin. Paggising ko, naka-ready na agad ang breakfast ko,” he went on. “Ngayon, kailangan, gusto ko na ako naman ang mag-aalaga sa kanya.”
In the same interview with the entertainment website, Chito shared that he is “really prepared” for fatherhood.
“Marami naman akong kids na naalagaan before. Yung mga pamangkin ko. Since ako yung bunso, ako yung palaging napag-uutusan,” recounts Chito, adding that he’s close to the family and kids of fellow musician Jay Contreras (of the band, Kamikazee) because they live in the same neighborhood.
Neri is due to give birth this November 2016. We can’t wait to see who little Alfonso looks like!
