Chris Tiu welcomes baby girl with tears; euphoric over being a dad

"No championship or accomplishment can compare to the overwhelming joy we felt when this little girl finally entered this world."

It’s been almost three weeks since Chris Tiu became a father, but the basketball hunk is still on cloud 9. In a sweet Instagram post, Tiu admitted he now realizes the sacrifices involved in being a father, but he remains euphoric.

“Just these past few days, I experienced how [being a] father requires making sacrifices and adjustments,’ he said.

“However, these will never measure up to the feeling of euphoria, even just by watching her sleep and feed,” he added.

Fatherhood outweighs any championship

Tiu and his wife Clarisse Ong welcomed their daughter, Amanda Claire, on June 5. It was an emotional moment when the couple held their baby for the first time.

“No championship or accomplishment can compare to the overwhelming joy we felt when this little girl finally entered this world,” Tiu said in another Instagram post.

“I’ve never felt so happy that I was moved to tears,” he also said.

Chris Tiu marvels at the miracle of life:

“About 9 months ago, I remember just seeing a heartbeat in the ultrasound monitor and now she’s a full human being wrapped around our arms, this is truly the miracle of life! And the most wonderful blessing and manifestation of God’s generous love.”

Read on to find out Tiu’s daily struggle and why he can’t concentrate at work

A daily struggle

The doting father is so in love with this little angel, that he has been finding it difficult to concentrate while he is at work.

“Baby Amanda is 10 days old today. How can you leave the house when this adorable face is smiling at you?!” Tiu asked his 100,000 followers on Instagram.

“It’s also difficult to concentrate at work and you just want to go home right away!! Ganito pala feeling maging daddy,”  (so this is how it feels to be a daddy),” he also said.
