He told his children to lie face down on the floor
According to reports, the suspect killed two of his kids first, before violently attacking his wife and another of his children.
The suspect allegedly told his 1-year-old, and his 6-year-old child to lie face down on the floor of their home in Carmen, North Cotabato, he then viciously hacked them to death. His wife and his other child quickly rushed to protect the kids, but they were also attacked and received numerous injuries.
After the incident, the suspect quickly ran away and drank herbicide in an attempt to kill himself. However, it didn’t work. Eventually, he was found by his father and taken to the police.
He might have suffered a nervous breakdown
His father shared that his son was unable to sleep for 7 nights, and also refused to eat. He adds that his son told him that he has pawned the land that their house was built on and that a carabao that his son borrowed had also died.
The suspect will undergo a psychiatric evaluation in order to assess whether or not he had a nervous breakdown which led to the vicious attack.
He is currently in police custody and police will be filing a parricide case against the suspect.

- Depersonalization – Depersonalization basically means that you don’t feel like yourself. This is a classic symptom of a nervous breakdown, and it makes you feel like you’re an entirely different person, and void of emotion.
- Confusion – When your brain is stressed, it can become hard to think and leaves you confused most of the time.
- Headaches – These symptoms usually go along with insomnia, since an inability to sleep would lead to headaches since your brain has no time to rest. This is also brought about by feeling of stress and tension, so if you keep getting persistent headaches, it’s best to try and relax to calm yourself down.
