6 Fears that prevent married couples from having great sex

6 Fears that prevent married couples from having great sex

Anxiety and stress can definitely hold you and your spouse back from having a wonderful time in the bedroom!

1. Fear of getting pregnant

Yup. This is actually more common than you might think, even for married couples!

Some couples prefer to wait for a few years before deciding to have a child, and sometimes the fear that they might get pregnant gets in the way of them having great sex with their spouse.

2. Being insecure about your body

Everyone has insecurities. And some people feel more insecure than others. That’s why it’s important to be confident about your body so that you won’t feel unattractive to your spouse. And if you think that your partner’s the one that has some insecurities, reassure them by telling them that they’re attractive and that you love them just the way they are!

3. Fear that you’re bad at sex

Sex is something that you get better at the more experience you have. So, if you have some fear or apprehension that you’re not good in bed, you’re going to have a hard time being satisfied in bed with your spouse. The best thing to do would be to just let go of your inhibitions and go with the flow! There are also a lot of resources online that teach you more about how to be good in bed, so you’ll definitely find those useful.

4. You’re worried that you’re not satisfying your spouse

This is a common fear and something that can easily be resolved simply through communication. There’s nothing wrong with asking your spouse what they want in bed, or if they have some specific positions that they prefer. That’s totally normal!

5. You’re worried that you’re the one not satisfied

On the other hand, if you’re worried about sex since you’re not being satisfied, then tell your spouse about it. Be honest, but don’t make it seem that it’s their fault. Tell them what you need, and how you like to do things.

6. You’re not comfortable being naked with your spouse

Yup, this does happen to some married couples! Some people can be too conscious of their own body that they find it hard to be naked with someone else, even if that person’s their spouse!

The key here is to just relax, and know that you’re in a safe space. Your spouse is someone that you can be open with, and someone who loves you for who you are, and not simply for your appearance.
