Gladys Reyes on expecting fourth child: 'Quota na ako'

The 38-year-old actress and soon-to-be mom of four talks about her odd pregnancy craving, 24/7 morning sickness, and why this pregnancy will be her last...

38-year-old actress Gladys Reyes will soon be a mom of four and this pregnancy is her most delicate one yet. Speaking to entertainment website PEP, Gladys recounted how she was hospitalized due to internal hemorrhage.

“Kaya sinabihan ako ng doktor na kailangan ko raw sana ng complete bed rest,” she told PEP. Though she’s feeling better, she admits still feeling some symptoms she didn’t feel with her three previous pregnancies.

The couple, who have been married for 12 years, have 3 kids together–two boys and one girl. Though Gladys wishes to even things out by having another girl, she admitted to PEP that Christopher is hoping for another son.

Either way, she will accept what she believes God’s will is.

“Ngayon, nafi-feel ko quota na ako. Naka-padlock na ito, last na ito…”

“Ngayon, nafi-feel ko quota na ako. Naka-padlock na ito, last na ito,” she told PEP about wishing this will be her last pregnancy, adding that she’s looking into the process of tubal ligation.

Comparing her current pregnancy to her past ones, she noticed how her morning sickness period now lasts all day long.

“Hindi pa naman masyadong halata ang aking tummy kasi mga three months pa lang, pero kung i-compare sa tatlong past pregnancy ko, ito yung medyo maselan ako,” she explained. “Dere-deretso kasi ang paglilihi ko na until now nahihilo pa rin ako ‘tapos madalas pa rin ako magsuka.”

She also revealed how even her sense of smell has become more sensitive causing her to respond negatively to certain smells, such as sauteing onions.

“Yung iba kasi, inaaway nila ang asawa nila, ayaw nilang makita, ayaw nilang katabi. Ako naman, lately, medyo clingy ako sa kanya…”

As for what she’s craving? Well, it’s wanting to be near her husband Christopher Roxas all the time.

“Yung iba kasi, inaaway nila ang asawa nila, ayaw nilang makita, ayaw nilang katabi. Ako naman, lately, medyo clingy ako sa kanya,” she revealed, adding how funny it is when her husband complains of experiencing “paglilihi” himself.

“May times na tamad na tamad din siya. Pero hayaan mo na siya ang maglihi, para maramdaman din nila ang hirap,” she joked.
