5 Interactive attractions that will transport you to another world without leaving Metro Manila

Want to meet the cool creatures of the Arctic? Do you want to train like a ninja in Japan? You don't have to leave the Metro to make it happen

1. The Augmented reality experience at Shangri-la Plaza

If you’re sick of the summer heat then escape to somewhere cool! You don’t even have to leave the country to do this, because Shangri-La Plaza has brought a piece of the Arctic region to us. Open from May 6 to June 4, the one-of-a-kind augmented reality experience, Arctic Explorer, is located inside the Shangri-La Mall’s East Atrium. Kids and kids at heart will surely enjoy this interactive experience!

Get to experience realistic 3D renderings of adorable polar bears, penguins, bears, seals, and orca whales! Kids can learn more about this part of the world thanks to Shangri-la Plaza’s collaboration with INDE, the award-winning augmented reality company who’s worked with the likes of National Geographic and Universal Studios.

2. Art in Island

Take selfies and groupfies to your heart’s content at this fun, interactive 3D museum in Cubao, Quezon City, which is the biggest of its kind in Asia. The museum features optical illusions, stunning artwork by Korean artists who specialize in paintings which seem to pop out of the screen, when photographed from certain angles.

Art in Island is located at 175 15th Avenue, Barangay Socorro, Cubao, Quezon City.

The museum is open daily (except on Mondays) from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit the Art in Island facebook page or call 421-1356.

3. Dreamplay

Hang out with memorable Dreamworks animated characters you and your kids love at Dreamplay in City of Dreams. Learn Kung Fu at a dojo led by the masters themselves: the adorably huggable Po and the Furious Five! Or, immerse yourself in the stories you love in their 4-D theater. You can also visit Shrek’s swamp and then learn how to train your dragon!

You can buy tickets online or at SM Ticket outlets as well as the venue itself. For more information, visit the Dreamplay facebook page or City of Dreams website.
