Even after she blessed the world with the beloved Harry Potter series, author J.K. Rowling is still spreading magic into the world.
This past Sunday was Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom and the award-winning author took time out of her busy schedule to tweet this message of love and comfort.
The mom-of-three gave out advice to her 6.9 million followers, specifically to those who are missing their moms on Mother’s day in the U.K, telling them to “do something nice for themselves since their moms are a part of them”.
Rowling lost her mom in 1990 due to complications of multiple sclerosis. Much like the beloved character she created, Harry Potter, who also lost his mom at a young age.
She has donated $14 million to the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. The charitable facility is devoted to the treatment of neurlogical conditions, like multiple sclerosis
A collective “awww” rang through twitterverse and in a matter of hours, thousands of people retweeted it.
Many praised her for the sentiment and shared bits of their stories with her.
