On Saturday, January 14, James Yap’s first son, Michael James, with his longtime partner Michela Cazzola was baptized at Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati City.
“Welcome to the Christian world, baby Michael!! We love you very very much, son,” wrote the basketball star on Instagram.
The proud dad also thanked MJ’s ninongs and ninangs, which included Julius Babao and wife Tintin Bersola-Babao, writing: “Dear Ninongs and Ninangs, thank you for attending the Holy Baptism of baby Michael. We truly appreciate your presence and generosity.”
This event also marked the first time the low-key couple shared a photo of their adorable firstborn to their followers.
Michela explained the reason they haven’t posted many photos of their baby boy since he was born in a previous PEP interview, citing this need for privacy as common practice in her home country, Italy.
After the baptism, their guests were treated to a magical reception, inspired by the classic book, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
