The pairing of young stars Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona has spawned quite the following. That’s why when Janella’s mom posted heated messages through twitter to an unnamed guy in her daughter’s life, netizens were quick to worry that all is not well in the world of “ElNella”.
The veteran stage actress and singer, who’s recently made a comeback on primetime TV, posted a message on twitter in defense of her 18-year-old daughter, writing: “I want no less than a gentleman for my daughter. Not one who looks & pretends to be decent but sneaks behind my back.”
She followed it up with a warning to the same guy, telling him to “straighten up and clean up” his act or else she would reveal his identity.
As fans flooded her with tweets, she finally responded to several tweets. Though she didn’t reveal the guy’s identity, she did emphasize that she’s only calling him out on social media to protect her daughter. “Hindi nyo (kasi) anak ang nalalagay sa hindi magandang sitwasyon….mabait pa nga ako hindi ko sya pinangalanan an I didn’t say what he did kundi masisira siya,” she clarified in responded to one of the comments.
Even celebrities can lose their cool, especially if they perceive their kids are being put in a compromising position. Whatever happened, we hope they can sort things out. Despite this conflict, it’s nice to know that a promising young star like Janella has a solid and strong mother to watch her back in the crazy world of showbiz.
